What to Expect

Worship services typically run between 55-65 minutes.  Communion  is generally served on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of every month impacts the length of the service.

Sychar is a liturgical church where the congregation joins together in prayers, responsive readings and hymn singing throughout the service. The liturgy is based on reciting scripture as a practice derived from Jesus’ earliest of followers.

Worship attire will vary among the congregation between those who prefer to dress formal and casual.  Our hope is regardless of clothing choices; you feel comfortable attending.

Children are welcome to church.  We realize the challenges that bringing children to worship can often bring and we’re grateful for their presence.  For the presence of your child during worship, activity bags are located next to the outside sanctuary doors.  Children are invited to participate in helping to collect Sychar’s mission offering during the service. Worshipers are invited to stay for coffee and goodies after the service.

If you choose to worship with us, we would enjoy getting to know you better when it’s comfortable and convenient for you.  Please feel free to fill out the welcome pad at the end of the pews.
