The 2008 (55th Anniversary) Sychar Lutheran Church Directories are available for pickup in the office! They look super, and so do all of you.

In case you forgot the rules:

• Everybody that had a picture taken for the directory is entitled to have one for free
• Everybody that pre-ordered them for $5 can take theirs
• If you didn't get your picture taken, and didn't order a directory, a very few extra are available for $5 a piece

This year's directory is a publication of the Board of Public Relations.  A team of people created an overall plan.  Photo collages were designed and created by Nathan Skoglund from photos taken by Pr. Robin, Gary Zinter, and other Sychar members. All artwork around the page border was compiled from photographs of the faceted glass around the church.  The directory section has a springtime photo taken out around the Edison Blvd sidewalk, turned into a silhouette with some extra image manipulation to maintain the tree, brick artwork, and color scheme. The front cover features two merged images of faceted glass versions of Luther's Crest found around the church. The back cover features the large windows in the front of the church with Jesus and the woman at Sychar well, as well as pieces from the altar facing windows to fill in the rest.

The back cover text was written by Secretary Emeritus, Vallie Parent, and covers the history of the name of our church. Many thanks go to Lifetouch, which was a pleasure to work with. Many thanks also go to our volunteers that helped everybody check in and facilitated the entire operation.
