We are proud to announce that the Silver Bay community has stepped up with raw donations of approximately $2,400 for relief efforts in Haiti!

We will also be blessed by matching funds, for up to $1000, by Thrivent Financial for Lutherans.  We are currently searching to see if any other organization will do a fund match for the remaining $1400 of raw donations.

Special thanks to Silver Bay's fine community, United Protestant Church, Zion and St. Mary's Catholic Church (this is an incomplete list) for also supporting this effort.

Total raised so far, even if no other matching funds are found amount to approximately $3,400.  Praise the Lord!  If you were unable to attend the dinner, you may still make donations to the church office during regular office hours, or on Sunday morning.
